Kaori helps her clients navigate the uncertainties and challenges of complex interpersonal relationships. She aspires to guide, counsel, support and represent her clients in the best manner possible after carefully considering client’s needs and goals.
With her diverse background of being born in Japan, growing up in Colombia and attending college and law school in the United States, Kaori can view situations from different perspectives, appreciates that every situation is unique and provides objective advice to her clients. Kaori is fluent in Spanish and proficient in Japanese.
Kaori began private practice by contributing to the community through working at Saint Andrew’s Legal Clinic, she then worked at Stephens and Margolin prior to transitioning to Margolin Family Law.
Kaori’s ultimate goal is to help her clients pursue and achieve the best overall outcome for her clients whether it be through an out-of-court process or litigation. She is trained in Collaborative Law and values the benefits of reaching an agreement outside of court. She also understands that litigation is unavoidable in some cases to accomplish her client’s goals, and she zealously advocates and represents clients in court.
In her personal time, Kaori enjoys spending time with her two children and husband, gardening, exercising, baking, and spending time with friends.
